Thank you so so much for introducing me to Gavin Bryars. What an artistic force. I will be going back to view all of the videos and see more of his work.
At the beginning of the first video I was touched to see the cymbal (is that the name?) being lowered into water as it was being played. It really touched me.
This post is wonderful to read and think about. Love continues to grow...

immersed in color and tones.
or in the past.
can be so sad. and so beautiful!
Dear Ritva,
thank you very much for introducing Gavin Bryars. His music and philosophy is not facile... but its really profound. Like underwater life.
His music acts in the unconscious.
Your wallpaper of photos of your father with baton... just like a colourful ocean.
The reflection of the CD like on a surface of water.
Wow, on different levels a great post,
thank you!
Love,
Ariane.

dear Ritva, on this grey and rainy morning i took time to watch all three videos and was very moved and enchanted by Gavin Bryars music as well as by his commenting and telling. Then i went back to your'wallpaper' and it all together felt really good and wonderful,an image of colour and sound that will stay with me the rest of the day and probably longer, thanks.
